Two-month-old kitten stolen in D.C. home burglary

WASHINGTON, D.C. — A burglary in Southeast D.C. on Friday evening ended with the theft of a two-month-old Tortoiseshell kitten, prompting police to request the public’s help in recovering the pet.

The incident occurred around 6:35 p.m. in the 2400 block of 15th Place Southeast, where suspects entered a locked home, stole property, and fled with the kitten.

The missing kitten, described as having a distinctive tortoiseshell coat, was highlighted by the Metropolitan Police Department, which released a photo to assist in its recovery.

A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment of the suspects involved.
