Teen injured in Brooklyn shooting, suspects at large

BROOKLYN, N.Y. — A 16-year-old boy was shot in the leg early Thursday morning inside a building on Blake Avenue, and police are searching for the two suspects responsible.

The incident occurred at approximately 12:15 a.m. on Oct. 3, 2024, when two unidentified individuals approached the teen inside 627 Blake Avenue and opened fire, striking him in the left leg.

The suspects fled the scene on foot in an unknown direction. Emergency Medical Services transported the victim to Brookdale Hospital Medical Center, where he was listed in stable condition.

No arrests have been made, and police have not released descriptions of the suspects. The investigation remains ongoing as detectives work to determine a motive and locate those involved.

Authorities are urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward.
