Man fatally stabbed in Harlem apartment; investigation underway

HARLEM, NEW YORK — A 41-year-old man was fatally stabbed on Thursday afternoon in an East Harlem apartment, prompting a police investigation into the violent incident.

Officers responded to a 911 call reporting an assault in progress at an apartment on East 121st Street at approximately 2:01 p.m. Upon arrival, police discovered the man suffering from multiple stab wounds to his torso.

Emergency medical services transported the victim to NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem in critical condition, but he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival. The identity of the victim has not yet been released as police work to notify his family.

No arrests have been made, and authorities say the investigation is ongoing.
