Gunfire on East Capitol Street as police hunt for armed suspects

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Police are investigating a shooting that occurred Friday morning in the 1700 block of East Capitol Street, Northeast, and are asking for the public’s help in locating four suspects believed to be involved.

The suspects are described as Black males wearing dark-colored puffy goose coats and armed with a handgun. They were last seen traveling in a 2018 gray Nissan Rogue bearing DC license plate GC5721. One of the suspects is described as having a light complexion and wearing dreadlocks.

A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered by the Metropolitan Police Department for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of those responsible.
