Man injured in knife attack on Madison Avenue, suspect at large

NEW YORK, NY — Police are searching for an unidentified individual who attacked a man with a knife in Midtown Manhattan on Saturday morning.

The incident occurred on November 23, 2024, at approximately 10:40 a.m. near 237 Madison Avenue. According to police, a 42-year-old man was walking northbound in the area when the suspect approached and swung a knife at him, inflicting a laceration to his right hand.

Emergency Medical Services treated the victim at the scene for his injuries, which were not life-threatening.

The suspect fled northbound on Madison Avenue and remains at large. No further details about the individual were immediately available.

Authorities are urging anyone with information about the suspect or the attack to contact law enforcement.
