BALTIMORE — A Maryland Lottery player in Aberdeen struck it big last week, claiming a $1 million scratch-off prize in the largest win among 33 significant lottery payouts across the state.
In total, the Maryland Lottery awarded more than $29.4 million in prizes between November 18 and November 24, with 33 tickets valued at $10,000 or more either sold or redeemed. Among those winners were three $100,000 scratch-off prizes claimed in Baltimore, Scaggsville, and Severna Park.
A Keno ticket sold in Hyattsville, worth over $150,000, remains unclaimed. Lottery officials are urging the ticket holder to sign the back of their ticket and keep it in a safe place until it can be redeemed.
Winners of draw game tickets have 182 days from the date of the drawing to claim their prizes, while FAST PLAY and scratch-off tickets expire 182 days after purchase. The Maryland Lottery’s website lists deadlines for scratch-off prize claims on its scratch-offs page.
The wave of winnings highlights another busy week for Maryland Lottery players, who are reminded to check their tickets for potential prizes.
