Armed robbery at Seminole Trail 7-Eleven under investigation; police seek public’s help

ALBEMARLE COUNTY, Va. — Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred Sunday at a 7-Eleven on the 1200 block of Seminole Trail, releasing surveillance footage in hopes of identifying the suspect.

The Albemarle County Police Department said the robbery took place on November 24. Investigators described the suspect as a Black male in his 20s, wearing a black hoodie, black pants, and a black face mask.

The department’s Criminal Investigations Division is leading the case and has released a still image from surveillance footage captured during the incident. Police are asking anyone with information about the suspect to contact Detective Richardson at 434-296-5807.

Anonymous tips can also be submitted through Crime Stoppers at 434-977-4000, officials said. The department emphasized the importance of community assistance in identifying the individual involved.

The investigation remains active as authorities work to gather more details about the robbery.
