Ocean County man arrested on assault and property damage charges

OCEAN COUNTY, NJ — Traesean Krause, 28, was taken into custody Friday on multiple charges, including aggravated assault and criminal mischief, following an incident that remains under investigation, according to authorities.

Krause faces several serious charges, including aggravated assault with a deadly weapon causing bodily injury, simple assault with a deadly weapon, and property damage under New Jersey’s criminal mischief statute. He is also charged with driving on a revoked license.

Court records show that Krause is being held without bail on several charges, while one cash bond of $500 has been set in connection with another case. He was booked into Ocean County custody on November 29.

Krause, described in jail records as a single male with a high school education, has no known aliases. Additional details regarding the circumstances of the alleged offenses have not been released by authorities.

Charges against Krause include:

  • Aggravated assault with a deadly weapon causing bodily injury (Code 2C:12-1B(3), second-degree offense)
  • Simple assault with a deadly weapon causing bodily injury (Code 2C:12-1A(2), fourth-degree offense)
  • Criminal mischief causing property damage (Code 2C:17-3A(1), third-degree offense)
  • Driving on a revoked license (Code 39:3-40, disorderly persons offense)

Krause remains in custody, and court proceedings are expected to follow.
