Two teens arrested in fatal Columbus shooting of 18-year-old

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Two teenagers have been arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of 18-year-old Darnell Brown-Jones, who was found dead earlier this month on Eton Grove, according to the Columbus Division of Police.

Officers responded to a report of a shooting on November 14 in the 900 block of Eton Grove, where they discovered Brown-Jones unresponsive with a gunshot wound. Paramedics from the Columbus Division of Fire pronounced him dead at the scene.

Police arrested 19-year-old Giavon Hayes on November 19, followed by 18-year-old Mi’Shawn Thomas on November 21. Both suspects are accused of involvement in Brown-Jones’ death, though authorities have not released details on the motive or circumstances surrounding the incident.
