Police investigate reported gun discharge at Myrtle Beach resort

MYRTLE BEACH, SC — Myrtle Beach police are investigating a reported weapons discharge at the Paradise Resort on Sunday morning, though no injuries have been reported.

Officers responded to the scene at 2201 S Ocean Boulevard at approximately 8:24 a.m. after resort staff reported the incident. Police say the discharge occurred earlier, but the exact timing remains unclear.

During their investigation, authorities recovered evidence at the scene and detained two individuals for questioning. Law enforcement officials have confirmed that the area is now secure.
