RIDGEFIELD, NJ — A 23-year-old man has been arrested and charged with sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child following an investigation by local and county authorities.

Seeun Jang, of Ridgefield, was taken into custody on Monday after an investigation revealed he had sexually assaulted a juvenile on multiple occasions. The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office and Ridgefield Police Department determined the incidents involved a child under the age of 16 and occurred in Ridgefield.

The Ridgefield Police Department first referred the case to the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit on November 25, prompting a detailed investigation. Authorities allege Jang’s actions constituted two counts of second-degree sexual assault and one count of third-degree endangering the welfare of a child.

Jang was arrested on December 2 and is being held at the Bergen County Jail. He is awaiting his first court appearance in Bergen County Superior Court in Hackensack.

No further details about the incidents or the juvenile victim have been released.
