Police seek help identifying person of interest in Columbus homicide

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Detectives are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a person of interest connected to a fatal shooting that occurred on November 14 in the 900 block of Eton Grove.

Officers responding to a report of gunfire at approximately 10:29 p.m. found Darnell Brown-Jones suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Brown-Jones was pronounced dead at the scene at 10:38 p.m., according to Columbus police.

The investigation has already led to the arrests of Giavon Hayes and Mishawn Thomas. However, detectives continue to search for the man pictured in a recently released photo, whom they believe may have critical information regarding the case.
