BALTIMORE COUNTY, Md. — Baltimore County detectives have arrested a 31-year-old man in connection with the fatal shooting of Tracey Hankins Jr., 29, that occurred in early August on Liberty Road. Kevin Martin, the suspect, was taken into custody on November 25 and is being held without bond at the Baltimore County Detention Center, authorities said.

The shooting occurred on August 3 at approximately 10:05 p.m. in the 6800 block of Liberty Road. Officers responding to reports of gunfire discovered Hankins unresponsive with gunshot wounds to his upper body. He was transported to a local hospital, where medical staff pronounced him dead.

Following the initial response, the victim’s body was sent to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for an autopsy, which confirmed his death as a homicide. The Baltimore County Police Homicide Unit launched an investigation, leading to Martin’s arrest nearly four months later.
