Suspect in Custody for Deadly Shooting at Largo Restaurant

LARGO, MD — A Washington, D.C. man has been arrested and charged in connection with the fatal shooting of a 33-year-old Upper Marlboro resident outside a Largo restaurant early Saturday morning.

The Prince George’s County Police identified the suspect as 35-year-old Terrelle Bailey. He is accused of shooting and killing Cornelius McDonald following an argument outside the establishment in the 9600 block of Lottsford Court.

Police say the incident occurred around 12:45 a.m. on November 30. McDonald was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators revealed that the two men, who did not know each other prior to the encounter, were both patrons at the restaurant and got into a dispute that escalated into the fatal shooting.

Bailey was identified as the suspect through investigative techniques, leading to a warrant for his arrest. He has been charged with first- and second-degree murder, along with related offenses, and is currently in custody at the Department of Corrections.

Authorities are urging anyone with additional information about the case to contact the Homicide Unit at 301-516-2512.
