Man critically injured in Clairton shooting, police investigating

CLAIRTON, Pa. — Allegheny County Police are investigating a shooting that left a man critically injured Wednesday afternoon in Clairton.

Police said they were alerted at 1:35 p.m. to a shooting in the 300 block of New York Avenue. Responding officers and paramedics found an adult male inside a residence with a gunshot wound to the face.

The victim was transported to a nearby hospital, where he remains in critical but stable condition. The Allegheny County Police Homicide Unit has launched an investigation into the incident.

Authorities are urging anyone with information to contact the County Police Tip Line at 1-833-ALL-TIPS. Callers can remain anonymous, and detectives are pursuing all leads as the investigation unfolds.
