BROOKLYN, N.Y. — A 25-year-old man is dead and four others are injured following a shooting on Monday, September 2 at 307 Eastern Parkway, police said. The incident remains under investigation, with no arrests reported as of Tuesday.
Officers from the 77th Precinct responded to a 911 call about shots fired at approximately 2:35 p.m. Upon arrival, they discovered five victims suffering from gunshot wounds. Denzel A. Chan, 25, of Spring, Texas, sustained a gunshot wound to the abdomen and was transported to NYC Health and Hospitals/Kings County, where he was later pronounced dead.
The other victims included a 69-year-old woman with a gunshot wound to her shoulder, a 64-year-old man with an injury to his arm, a 36-year-old man who was shot in the head, and a 16-year-old male with a gunshot wound to his arm. All four are listed in stable condition, according to authorities.
The NYPD is offering a combined reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible. Tips can be submitted anonymously via the Crime Stoppers Hotline or online.
No motive or suspect information has been released as the investigation continues.
