26-year-old stabbed in chest on Flatbush Avenue, dead at hospital

BROOKLYN, N.Y. — A 26-year-old man died Monday morning after being stabbed in the chest in East Flatbush, police said.

Officers responded to a 911 call at approximately 10:21 a.m. near 1584 Flatbush Avenue, within the 70th Precinct. Upon arrival, they discovered the victim suffering from a stab wound to the chest.

Emergency Medical Services transported the victim to NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County, where he was pronounced dead.

The identity of the victim is being withheld pending notification of his family, and no arrests have been made. Authorities said the investigation is ongoing as detectives work to identify a suspect.
