Brush fire in Kings Grant contained by fire crews

EVESHAM TOWNSHIP, N.J. — Fire crews from the New Jersey Forest Fire Service and Evesham Fire-Rescue responded Sunday to a brush fire behind Woodlake Drive in the Kings Grant community.

The fire affected approximately one acre of land, bordered on three sides by water. Crews worked to contain the fire and limit its spread, with smoke visible in the surrounding area.

Authorities noted that smoke would remain present as operations continued. No injuries or damage to nearby properties were reported.

Firefighters remained on scene to ensure the fire was fully extinguished and posed no further threat to the area.
