BELCAMP, Md. — A fire early Monday morning caused an estimated $300,000 in damage to a two-story home and vehicle in Belcamp, Harford County, though no injuries were reported.
The blaze was reported at 2:29 a.m. at 4313 Declaration Circle, where a neighbor spotted the fire and alerted authorities. Firefighters from the Abingdon Volunteer Fire Company responded to the scene and brought the flames under control within 25 minutes, with the assistance of 40 firefighters.
Officials confirmed that smoke alarms were present in the residence, but there were no fire alarms or sprinklers installed. The home, owned by Susan and David Bower, sustained significant damage, and the family’s vehicle was also destroyed.
The fire originated on the exterior of the property, according to investigators. The cause of the blaze remains under investigation, and no arrests have been made.
