PARSIPPANY, N.J. — South Beverwyck Road remains closed near Edgewood Court after a motor vehicle crash downed electrical lines and a utility pole, the Parsippany Police Department confirmed Tuesday.

Authorities reported no injuries in the crash, which disrupted traffic in the area. Emergency crews are working to repair the damage and restore power.

Police also addressed widespread misinformation circulating on social media, including posts on the Ring app, falsely claiming that a large drone crashed and caught fire at the site. “This false claim has caused a heavy amount of unneeded phone calls to our communication center,” the department stated.

Officials are urging the public to rely on verified updates and avoid sharing unconfirmed reports. The department said updates on road closures will be provided as repairs progress.
