Cumberland woman arrested in Fayette Street assault

CUMBERLAND, Md. — A woman was arrested Thursday evening following an assault at a residence on Fayette Street, according to the Cumberland Police Department.

Officers responded to the 700 block of Fayette Street at approximately 5:23 p.m. after receiving a report of a disturbance. Upon arrival, police spoke with the victim, who alleged that Lindsay Mannis had assaulted him.

Police observed visible injuries on the victim and, following further investigation, arrested Mannis. She was taken to Central Booking and later appeared before a District Court Commissioner.

Mannis was released on her personal recognizance pending further legal proceedings, police said.
