NYPD Manhunt for Alleged Rapist Sought in the Bronx

BRONX, N.Y. — A woman was sexually assaulted inside a vehicle by an unknown man in the vicinity of White Plains Road and Gildersleeve Avenue, police said. The suspect fled the scene in an unknown direction after the attack.

Emergency Medical Services transported the victim to NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi for evaluation following the assault. Authorities have not released further details about her condition.

The incident occurred when the woman met the suspect, described as a male approximately 6 feet tall with a medium build and light complexion. He was last seen wearing a black jacket, dark gray pants, and white sneakers.

The NYPD has launched an investigation and is asking anyone with information about the suspect or the incident to come forward. No arrests have been made.

The suspect’s identity and whereabouts remain unknown as police continue their search.
