Fatal crash on I-295 ramp leaves Virginia man dead

WASHINGTON, D.C. – A 22-year-old man was killed early Thursday morning in a rollover crash on Interstate 295 near the ramp to I-695, according to the Metropolitan Police Department.

Investigators say the crash occurred when a blue Chevrolet Camaro traveling northbound on I-295 at exit 5A failed to navigate a curve on the ramp. The vehicle swerved off the roadway and rolled over multiple times.

The driver sustained life-threatening injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The victim has been identified as Nehemiah Edison, a resident of Falls Church, Va.

The Metropolitan Police Department is asking anyone with information about the crash to contact them.
