CUMBERLAND, Md. – The Cumberland Police Department reported multiple arrests Monday, including a burglary suspect and four individuals charged with trespassing at a posted property.
Nathan Tyrone Shell, 42, of Cumberland, was arrested on charges of first-, third-, and fourth-degree burglary, as well as theft between $100 and $1,500. The arrest followed a private citizen filing charges at the Allegany County District Court. Shell was taken into custody, transported to Central Booking, and released on a $7,500 unsecured personal bond after appearing before a District Court Commissioner.
In a separate incident, officers responded at approximately 2:16 p.m. to a trespassing complaint at a residence in the 200 block of Baltimore Avenue. The caller reported that multiple individuals had entered the property, which was marked “No Trespassing.”
Police found the suspects—David Allen Bennett, 50; Kerri Anne Bohrer, 51; Brenda Lene Ogden, 42; and Jeremy Lee Thomas, 47—inside the residence. All four were arrested and issued criminal citations for trespassing.
Bennett, however, was also found to have an active bench warrant in Garrett County for failing to appear in court on multiple sex offense charges. He was transported to the Allegany County Detention Center, where he is being held without bond pending a court appearance.
The other three suspects—Bohrer, Ogden, and Thomas—were released pending trial following processing.
