RESERVE TOWNSHIP, PA — The Allegheny County Police Department’s Homicide Unit is investigating after the body of an adult female was discovered over an embankment along the 4000 block of Spring Garden Road on Tuesday afternoon.
County 9-1-1 received a call at 3:19 p.m. reporting the body, which first responders confirmed was deceased upon arrival. Authorities say the woman appeared to have been dead for an extended period of time, though no signs of foul play were immediately evident.
A gray backpack with black trim was found near the victim at the scene, providing a potential lead for investigators as they work to determine the circumstances surrounding the death.
