MANSFIELD TWP., N.J. — As of 7:33 a.m., a crash on the New Jersey Turnpike northbound near Interchange 6, which connects to the Pennsylvania Turnpike, has vehicles on the right shoulder. While all lanes remain open, drivers in Mansfield Township are advised to exercise caution.

In Elizabeth, another crash occurred on the Turnpike’s outer roadway northbound near Interchange 13A, just south of Newark Liberty International Airport. As of 7:21 a.m., the vehicle involved has been moved to the right shoulder, and all lanes are open.

At 7:07 a.m., a vehicle veered off the roadway on I-295 northbound near Exit 18 in Greenwich Township. The incident has resulted in the closure of the right shoulder, with officials advising motorists to proceed carefully through the area.

Emergency construction continues on NJ 33 eastbound in Neptune City due to a sewer main break, closing one right lane east of NJ 18. Repairs were reported at 7:05 a.m., and delays are expected.

A more severe crash was reported earlier at 6:54 a.m. on the New Jersey Turnpike/I-80 northbound in Ridgefield Park, where one right lane remains blocked.

Traffic backups are impacting several major roadways due to volume, including a two-mile delay on the New Jersey Turnpike Eastern Spur in Newark and congestion on NJ 29 northbound through Hamilton Township and Trenton.

Commuters should plan for delays and monitor updates as traffic incidents continue to affect travel across the state.
