FOREST HEIGHTS, Md. — Prince George’s County Police are investigating a double fatal shooting that left two young men dead Tuesday evening in the town of Forest Heights.

The victims, identified as 24-year-old Brian Freeman of Forest Heights and 21-year-old Sakou Mathis of Washington, D.C., were found suffering from gunshot wounds outside a residence in the 100 block of Seneca Drive. Officers from the Forest Heights Police Department responded to the scene at approximately 5:50 p.m., where both men were pronounced dead.

The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Homicide Unit has taken over the investigation and is working to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
