Belleville police collect record donations at annual holiday food drive

BELLEVILLE, N.J. — The Belleville Police Department’s 3rd Annual Pack-A-Police Car Food Drive exceeded expectations, with donations overflowing beyond patrol cars and requiring a trailer to transport the contributions.

The community event, held in collaboration with ShopRite, drew an overwhelming response from local residents who came together to provide food and supplies for those in need. Police officials expressed gratitude for the generosity displayed by participants, emphasizing the immediate impact these donations will have on families facing hunger.

“We want to sincerely thank the Belleville community for your generosity,” the department shared in a statement. “This event gets bigger and better each year, and we can’t wait to do it again next year.”

The success of this year’s food drive highlights the growing support from the Belleville community and marks a milestone for the annual holiday initiative.

Organizers are already looking forward to next year’s event as they continue efforts to support local families during the holiday season.
