Three Teens Robbed and Beaten in Newark

NEWARK, Del. — Delaware State Police are investigating a strong-arm robbery that occurred Saturday night on Salem Church Road near Bradley Drive, where three teenage victims were assaulted and robbed by a group of suspects.

At approximately 10:48 p.m. on December 21, troopers responded to the area and learned that the victims—a 17-year-old male, a 16-year-old female, and a 14-year-old female—were walking when they were approached by a group of unknown individuals. The suspects assaulted the teens and stole various personal belongings before fleeing the scene in a dark-colored pickup truck, heading toward Pulaski Highway.

The victims sustained minor injuries during the incident, police said.

The suspects have been described as a black male, a Hispanic female, two teenage Hispanic females, two teenage Hispanic males, and one teenage white male. Authorities have not yet released surveillance video or images related to the case.

The investigation is ongoing, and police urge anyone with information to contact Delaware State Police.
