Cincinnati Kroger sells $300K on scratch-off ticket

CINCINNATI, OH – A Cincinnati resident claimed the $300,000 top prize playing the Ohio Lottery’s Special Edition Cashword scratch-off game, turning a $10 ticket into a life-changing win.

The winning ticket was purchased at Kroger Co #370, located on North Bend Road in Cincinnati. After mandatory federal and state taxes totaling 28%, the winner will take home approximately $216,000.

Special Edition Cashword, a popular $10 scratch-off game, still has four top prizes remaining as of Dec. 23, 2024, according to the Ohio Lottery.

The Ohio Lottery continues to support education across the state, contributing more than $33 billion to educational programs since 1974.
