22-year-old woman injured in Wilkinsburg shooting, police investigating

WILKINSBURG, Pa. — A 22-year-old woman is recovering after being shot three times early Thursday morning in the 1700 block of Doyle Street, according to the Allegheny County Police Department.

Authorities said they received a 9-1-1 call about the shooting at 3:28 a.m., prompting first responders to the scene. The victim was found with gunshot wounds to both legs and her left hand. She was transported to a nearby hospital, where she is reported to be in stable condition.

Detectives from the Allegheny County Police Department’s General Investigations Unit have taken over the case. No details regarding a suspect or motive have been released at this time.
