Brooklyn man charged with murder in deadly stabbing of 47-year-old woman

BROOKLYN, N.Y. — A 45-year-old Brooklyn man was arrested and charged with second-degree murder Monday in connection with the fatal stabbing of a woman and the injury of a teenager inside an East Flatbush residence, police said.

Officers responded to a 911 call at approximately 9:28 p.m. Sunday at 942 East 81st Street, within the confines of the NYPD’s 69th Precinct. Upon arrival, they found 47-year-old Antoinette Stewart-Gordon with stab wounds to her neck and abdomen, as well as a 15-year-old boy suffering a laceration to his hand.

Both victims were transported by EMS to One Brooklyn Health-Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center, where Stewart-Gordon was pronounced dead. The teenager is currently in stable condition, authorities said.

Following the investigation, police arrested Lewis Gordon on Dec. 23 at 2:15 p.m. He has been charged with second-degree murder and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon.

Police have not released further details about the circumstances leading to the incident. The investigation remains ongoing.
