Philadelphia police continue search for teen girl missing for past week

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. — Authorities are seeking the public’s help in locating 16-year-old Jayda Gomez, who was reported missing by her mother on December 19 from their home on the 3400 block of Weikel Street in the 24th District.

Jayda is described as 5 feet 1 inch tall, weighing approximately 140 pounds. It is unclear what she was wearing at the time of her disappearance. Police say she is known to frequent The Rock Ministry boxing gym on the 2700 block of Kensington Avenue.

The Philadelphia Police Department’s East Detectives Unit is leading the investigation and urges anyone with information about Jayda’s whereabouts to contact them at 215-686-3243 or call 911.
