Suspect in custody after possible hazardous explosive materials incident in White Marsh

TOWSON, MD — Baltimore County Police have taken one suspect into custody following an incident involving potentially hazardous materials in White Marsh on Friday morning.

Officers responded to a report of suspicious circumstances in the 5300 block of Campbell Boulevard at approximately 10:45 a.m. Upon arrival, they were alerted to a vehicle containing unidentified material.

The department’s Hazardous Devices Team was called to the scene and determined that the material was pyrotechnic in nature. As a precaution, team members conducted three controlled disposals on site to safely neutralize the material.

No injuries were reported during the incident, and the situation was resolved without further disruption, authorities said.

The investigation is ongoing, and police have not released additional details about the suspect or the nature of the material found.
