Attempted robbery reported in Glen Burnie

GLEN BURNIE, MD — Authorities are investigating an attempted robbery that occurred on December 28, 2024, in the 100 block of Warwickshire Lane, during which a suspect implied he was armed with a handgun but fled empty-handed.

The incident happened at approximately 9:30 p.m., when a female victim was approached by a Black male suspect who demanded her purse, claiming he had a firearm. The victim fled the scene without handing over her belongings.

Responding officers searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect. The victim was not injured in the incident, police said.
