NYPD Manhunt for Gunman Who Shot and Killed Daquan Andrews Inside Bronx Apartment

BRONX, NY — A 28-year-old man was fatally shot in a Bronx apartment Monday evening, authorities said.

Police responded to a 911 call at approximately 8:35 p.m. regarding a shooting at 837 Home Street in the 41st Precinct. Upon arrival, officers learned that Daquan Andrews had been shot in the chest inside the residence.

Andrews was transported by private means to NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln, where he was pronounced dead, officials said.

Authorities have made no arrests in connection with the shooting, and the investigation is ongoing.

Law enforcement is working to determine the circumstances that led to the fatal shooting.

A quiet Bronx neighborhood was shaken by the killing as police continue to search for the gunman.
