BRISTOL, CT — A Connecticut Lottery player is celebrating a $3 million win after purchasing a Mega Millions ticket at Cumberland Farms #4760 in Southington for the Jan. 2 drawing.

The lucky ticket matched the five white balls to secure the $1 million prize, and the player also opted for the Megaplier, which tripled the winnings to $3 million.

Mega Millions continues to offer massive prizes, with drawings held every Tuesday and Friday. Players are reminded to sign the back of their tickets and keep them safe until claiming their prize.

Lottery officials encourage the winner to visit a Connecticut Lottery office to claim the life-changing prize.
