Man slashed in face inside New York City subway station

BROOKLYN, N.Y. — A 50-year-old man was slashed in the face during a dispute inside the York Street subway station on Friday night, police said.

The incident occurred at approximately 10:00 p.m. on the staircase of the station. According to authorities, an unidentified individual approached the victim and engaged in a verbal dispute before attacking him with a sharp object.

The victim sustained a laceration to his face and was transported by EMS to NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, where he is listed in stable condition.

The suspect fled the scene on foot and has not been identified.

Police are investigating the incident and are searching for the individual responsible.
