Suspect sought in armed robbery of jacket at Central Park North

HARLEM, NEW YORK — Police are searching for a suspect who forcibly stole a jacket from a man and simulated having a weapon during an incident inside a building at 285 Central Park North.

The robbery occurred on Sunday, December 22, 2024, at approximately 3:35 p.m. The victim, a 28-year-old man, was selling a jacket to an unknown individual when the suspect grabbed the item and motioned to a weapon at his waistband, police said.

The suspect fled the scene heading northbound on 8th Avenue. No injuries were reported during the incident.

The NYPD has not yet released any images or descriptions of the suspect as the investigation continues.
