A Hartville player cashes in big with a $50K scratch-off win

HARTVILLE, OH — A lucky Ohio Lottery player is celebrating a $50,000 win after purchasing a Billion scratch-off ticket at the Giant Eagle store on 907 W Maple Street in Hartville.

The winner will take home approximately $36,000 after mandatory federal and state tax withholdings totaling 28 percent.

Billion is a $50 scratch-off game offering a top prize of $1 million a year for 20 years. As of January 9, three top prizes remain unclaimed, along with many other cash prizes.

The Ohio Lottery continues its mission of supporting education, contributing more than $33 billion to schools since its inception in 1974.
