Delaware Police Arrest Man in Drug Investigation

Wilmington, DE – The Delaware State Police, alongside the FBI Delaware Violent Crime and Safe Streets Task Force, apprehended Guy Calloway, 33, for felony gun and drug charges. The arrest followed a lengthy drug investigation in Wilmington, concluded on Monday.

On January 6, members from Delaware State Police Troop 2 Drug Unit and Special Operations Response Team executed search warrants at properties linked to Calloway on East 13th Street. Calloway, suspected of large-scale narcotics distribution, fled the scene on foot but was captured near the Brandywine River after a brief pursuit.

The searches uncovered a Taurus handgun, firearm magazines, and ammunition alongside approximately 432 grams of cocaine, 48 grams of crack cocaine, and 234 grams of marijuana. Authorities also seized around $19,928 in suspected drug proceeds and drug paraphernalia such as digital scales and packaging materials.

A computer check revealed Calloway, a convicted felon, is barred from possessing firearms or ammunition. He was taken to Troop 2 and charged with various felonies, including possession with intent to deliver controlled substances, and was held on a $163,000 cash bond.
