64-year-old man injured in Kennedy Street shooting

PHILADELPHIA, PA — A 64-year-old man was injured in a shooting on the highway near the 2100 block of Kennedy Street in Philadelphia’s 15th District on Monday evening.

The incident occurred around 7:43 p.m. when the man sustained a gunshot wound to his left foot. He was transported by Medic 47 to Frankford South Hospital, where he was reported to be in stable condition.

Police reported no active crime scene, and no arrests have been made. No weapons were recovered in connection with the shooting.

The Philadelphia Police Department’s Shooting Investigations Group is seeking information related to the incident.

Philadelphia authorities continue to investigate as they search for leads in the case.
