Buncombe County deputies investigate fatal shooting in Reems Creek community

BUNCOMBE COUNTY, NC — The Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred on Monday at a residence in the Reems Creek community.

Deputies responded to a report of a gunshot wound at 7 Pink Fox Ridge Road, where they discovered a male victim deceased from a gunshot wound to the head.

Multiple individuals have been detained as part of the ongoing investigation. Authorities have stated that this appears to be an isolated incident and there is no threat to the public.

The Sheriff’s Office has not released the identity of the victim or further details surrounding the circumstances of the shooting.
