Suspects caught on camera after brazen daytime theft in D.C.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Thieves stole money from a cash register at a Southeast business in broad daylight before fleeing the scene on Wednesday afternoon.

The theft happened at approximately 12:30 p.m. in the 1100 block of Pennsylvania Avenue, Southeast. According to investigators, the suspects accessed the establishment’s cash register, took an undisclosed amount of money, and escaped before officers arrived.

Nearby surveillance cameras captured images of the suspects, which have been released as part of the effort to identify those involved.

Officials are urging anyone with information about the suspects or the incident to contact law enforcement at (202) 727-9099 or text tips to 50411. A reward of up to $1,000 is available for information leading to an arrest and indictment.
