NJDOT announces drawbridge work on Route 40 and Route 30, warns of traffic delays

ATLANTIC COUNTY, N.J. — The New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) has announced maintenance work on the Route 40 and Route 30 drawbridges, scheduled through Friday, January 17.

The project will involve testing, training sessions, and addressing operational issues on both bridges.

Work will primarily take place between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. each day, potentially impacting traffic in the area.

NJDOT is advising drivers to reduce speed, use caution, and prepare for possible delays during these hours.

The maintenance aims to ensure the continued safe operation of the drawbridges.
