NYPD seeks suspect in Queens Chase Bank attempted robbery

QUEENS, NY — The New York City Police Department is requesting the public’s help in identifying a suspect wanted in connection with an attempted robbery at a Chase Bank in Queens.

According to police, the incident occurred on Saturday, January 11, 2024, at approximately 1:57 p.m. when an unidentified individual entered the Chase Bank at 24-16 Queens Plaza South. The suspect approached a teller and passed a note demanding cash.

The individual fled the scene on foot with approximately $2,000, heading westbound on Queens Plaza South. No injuries were reported during the incident.

Surveillance images of the suspect have been released and are available through the NYPD’s Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Public Information (DCPI).

Authorities are urging anyone with information about the suspect’s identity or whereabouts to come forward.
