Police Search for Suspect in Attempted Bank Robbery in Annapolis

ANNAPOLIS, MD — Authorities are searching for a suspect involved in an attempted robbery at the Wells Fargo Bank on Jennifer Road Thursday morning, according to the Annapolis Police Department.

Police reported that around 10:45 a.m., a woman entered the bank, implied she had a handgun, and demanded money from a teller. No weapon was displayed during the incident, and the teller refused to comply.

The suspect fled the scene before officers arrived. A search of the surrounding area did not lead to her capture.

The suspect is described as a Black female in her mid-30s, approximately 5 feet 5 inches tall, wearing a gray jacket, blue jeans, and a green and black cap.

Police are continuing their investigation and are asking anyone with information to come forward.
