Newark police search for woman wanted in connection to robbery investigation

NEWARK, N.J. — Newark police are asking for the public’s help in locating a 24-year-old woman wanted for questioning in connection with a robbery that occurred earlier this month, officials said.

Quanazia Bennett is being sought by detectives investigating a robbery that took place on Sunday, December 15, 2024, in the 800 block of South 17th Street, according to Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda, Sr.

Authorities reported that the victim’s credit card, stolen during the robbery, was later used without authorization on the same day at a location near South Orange Avenue and South 10th Street.

Bennett is described as having a dark brown complexion, standing 5 feet 3 inches tall, weighing approximately 130 pounds, and is noted to wear a nose ring.

Anyone with information about Bennett’s whereabouts is urged to contact the Newark Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477). All tips are anonymous and may be eligible for a reward.
