Brunswick group celebrates massive $2.5 million lottery prize

BRUNSWICK, OH — A group of eight individuals struck lottery gold, winning the top prize on the Ohio Lottery’s $300,000,000 Extreme Cash scratch-off and choosing the $2.5 million cash option.

The winning ticket, which offers a top prize of $200,000 a year for 25 years, was purchased at Cenco, located at 3769 Center Road in Brunswick. After mandatory state and federal taxes totaling 28 percent, each winner will take home approximately $225,000.

As of January 21, six top prizes remain in the $30 scratch-off game.

The Ohio Lottery continues its legacy of supporting education, contributing over $33 billion since its founding in 1974.
