Maryland mother charged with killing her 11-year-old daughter

BALTIMORE COUNTY, Md. — A Middle River woman faces charges of first-degree murder following the tragic death of her 11-year-old daughter in their home.

On Thursday around noon, Baltimore County police officers responded to a home in the 2100 block of Firethorn Road after receiving reports of a disturbance. Upon arrival, officers found the young girl deceased inside the residence.

During their search, police located three additional children in the home, all of whom were unharmed.

As their investigation unfolded, detectives charged the victim’s mother, 34-year-old Keyona Dillon, with first-degree murder. Dillon is being held without bond at the Baltimore County Detention Center as the investigation continues.
